Our Why
We exist to transform education through technology because we believe education can transform a life, a family, a community and even a country.
We are inspired by Nelson Mandela’s quote “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”.

The Problem we're Solving
Government schools, especially those in rural Nepal, are poor and lack the resources to fund computer education. The ministry of education provides an ICT curriculum, but many schools have either no computers or just a few that need to be repaired. Without help from donors’ children will not have access to computers, ICT education or the benefits of education using technology. Below are some before and after photos of a typical Nepali classroom and the transformation we make by installing a high-quality computer lab. Transformation isn’t just the hardware but in students’ lives as they learn ICT skills and accelerate learning in other subjects.
We provide a ‘hand up’ rather than a ‘hand out’ as we sign an MOU with the school and our Support Partner to ensure a sustainable and effective computer lab. For the school to qualify, it must prepare a classroom to the standards specified in the MOU, including painting, floor coverings, ceiling, desks, bench seats and electrical installation. Schools are also required to create a Maintenance & ICT Fund to enable upgrades and expansion of the computer lab.
Education & Poverty
Poverty and education are inextricably linked, because people living in poverty may stop going to school so they can work, which leaves them without literacy and numeracy skills they need to further their careers. Their children, in turn, are in a similar situation years later, with little income and few options but to leave school and work.
Education in all different forms is key to breaking the cycle of poverty. It has an uplifting effect on other aspects of society that may seem totally unrelated, such as girls’ education lowering the number of prenatal deaths. The relationship between poverty and education is complex, but we know that education helps people make healthier and smarter decisions about their children, their livelihoods and the way they live.
Poverty and Education | ChildFund
Nelson Mandela once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
Today, numerous studies produced by aid organizations and non-governmental agencies show how this is the case. Education can end poverty by alleviating social disparities between the sexes, lessening food insecurity, promoting peace instead of conflict and reducing widespread disease transmission, and bolstering local economies.
