Model (Perfect) Lab
With every computer lab we've built we've always tried to learn lessons on what would make the next lab better. Better for the teacher, the students, for sustainability and reliability. Creating the perfect computer lab is interwoven within the '10 critical success factors' (see below) we've identified.
We've developed detailed drawings and plans for the classroom which are included in the MOU we sign with our Support Partner and the School.
Akash, our Western Regional Director has many talents including being an artist. His artwork explains what's required to prepare the classroom to be ready for the computer lab.

Demo and R & D Lab
Our Kathmandu office houses a complete 'demonstration lab' which we also use for research and development for new hardware, software, and teaching content.
As part of the process for a computer lab application, representatives from the school (computer teacher, headmaster, school committee chairperson) must come to our office to learn all the details about the computer lab construction and classroom preparation.
After going through the presentations, we then sign a MOU with the school and our Support Partner.

School Feedback

Our students exhibit remarkable enthusiasm for digital learning resources like Wikipedia, Encarta, and E-path. Through interactive tools, they have made significant progress in improving their language skills and understanding of concepts. We are grateful to EduTech Nepal and Himalayan Trust Nepal for providing us with a computer lab, which has had a significant impact on our students' academic growth. The lab has greatly enhanced our learning environment, and we appreciate their continued support.
Tilak Prasad Dhungana, Vice Principal, Shree Lukla Basic School, Lukla, Solukhumbu

Our newly upgraded computer lab, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, offers computer classes to students from grades 3 to 10. The curriculum is tailored to meet their specific needs. Younger students focus on creative pursuits such as Typing and Drawing, while senior students concentrate on practical applications like Word, Excel, and Photoshop. Our students find Deerwalk Learning videos and Kullabs incredibly valuable, and the screen-sharing feature is an effective teaching tool. The new lab is a significant improvement from the old one with just five computers.

We are proud of the computer lab that is supporting students in grades 4 to 10 to operate computers, complete their classwork digitally, and explore contents independently. The teachers can now prepare question papers for their subjects and conduct classes on English, Science, Computer and Nepali. As a result, the students are more enthusiastic about learning in the computer lab than in classical classrooms."

The computer lab installed at our school has significantly impacted our education, providing us with essential tools to succeed in the digital age. With the lab's help, we have been able to conduct class projects, gain necessary skills for our future careers, and explore new areas of knowledge. It has also enabled us to take courses in coding, programming, and other digital skills previously unavailable. The lab has expanded our possibilities and opened up new opportunities for us.
Suneeta G.C. Computer Teacher, Shree Barahi Secondary School, Pokhara -5, Malepatan

The installation of the EduTech Nepal computer lab has revolutionized our classroom experience, moving us from a situation where we had to teach the entire class with just one computer to a situation where we now have twenty individual computers. This has given each student the opportunity to explore and learn in a way that is tailored to their individual learning style, making our classroom much more engaging. The computer lab has been an invaluable addition to our school, providing our students with the tools they need to succeed in the digital age.
