About Theo Fritsche
»Education is the basis of development«
"I use my visits to Nepal to find out about the activities and further development
of the school projects that have already been completed on site and
to prepare the way for new projects," Theo Fritsche.
Since the mid-90s, our aid organization has been run as a private initiative by Theo. In April 2022, a new framework was created with the founding of the "School and Aid Projects Theo Fritsche" association. The organization has also been broadened, but without influencing the previous philosophy that 100% of all donations go to Nepal. As chairman of the association, Theo has of course, made himself available. His trips to Nepal several times a year make him an important link in the team in Nepal and Austria. Björn Berchtel, who has been working for the aid organization for more than ten years, was appointed as deputy chairman. The association's board of directors was additionally expanded with Günter Berchtel as treasurer and Bernd J. Egger as secretary and responsible for public relations. All board members have already been able to visit our aid projects in Nepal, have been involved in various aid campaigns in the past and are well-entrusted with the association's tasks.
Our Projects
Since the early 2000s, Theo has been supporting various projects in Nepal with the help of donors from Central Europe. Every euro donated goes directly to the people. The organization in Central Europe and Nepal is managed by volunteers and the funds are brought to our partners in Nepal without additional costly overheads.
New projects are carefully selected by Theo, supporters in Austria and our team in Nepal. The concepts are coordinated with local Nepalis, NGOs, and government authorities. This makes it possible to implement projects sustainably and with the support of society and local government. Detailed information about projects can be found on the Theo Fritsche website.
Computer Lab Project
Mike, Sheryl and Ashok met with Theo and Suresh (EduTech Nepal Landlord) in October 2023 to discuss creating an MOU to initially create two computer labs at Shree Ramdevi Secondary School and Shree Janavikash Secondary School in Sindhupalchok, Bagmati, Nepal.
These will be awesome labs and will include two EduTechLearn projectors to enable teachers to offer digital education in other classes.
